Why is the lookup done server side?
Querying a geolocation database and accessing certain metadata is not possible directly from the browser. The request therefore goes out from our server.
Can I look up any IP address?
Yes, you can enter any public IPv4 or IPv6 address. Private or reserved addresses return no geolocation because they are not routable on the internet.
Is my IP address stored?
